Seriously?

How can people be so dumb? Once upon a time a girl (let's call her Jane) got pregnant and told her boyfriend. He denied it was his and ran off with another girl that was pregnant (2 months behind Jane). Jane had to go to court and have paternity tested, yada yada yada. Eventually the ex-boyfriend (let's call him Dick) signed off all rights to Jane's child. Jane's child was eventually adopted by her husband.

Well, Jane and her husband have now divorced and somehow Dick is back in the picture. I am not sure who contacted who but it seems as if Jane has forgiven all past transgressions. This I don't understand because she holds so many other grudges/chips on her shoulder.

Anyway... so it turns out that Dick is now twice divorced (or in the process of his second divorce and less than 30 years old) and has three other kids (the oldest being the child that is two months younger than Jane's child). Jane is now moving across country to live with Dick. I am not sure how long they have been talking but from what I understand it has only been a couple of months.

So... am I the only one out there that can't believe this story? Seriously, how does Jane NOT see the warning signs? I just don't get it. I guess it is just a need to have a man in your life, no matter how bad the man is. It makes me sad. It is like watching a train about to run off the track (for the 2nd or 3rd time) and you have to wonder how anyone would ever recover from this train wreck that I am sure is going to happen. Just add water... instant family!

Pray for Dick and Jane and all the children involved!
