Happy Birthday Dear ES!

Today I am the mom of a 7 year old.

True to ES' personality, he was stubborn and did not want to experience the change of location. He was due on the 16th of May, after waiting a week the doctor decided to induce me so we went into the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP) on May 24th and started the Petosen and had my water broken around 11am that day.

ES still did not want to come out. By 6am (PST) ES was still not coming out, hadn't even progressed anywhere. Dr. Keith said well you can keep laboring for another 6 hours or we can do a C-Section. I opted for the C-Section. Turned out that the c-section was the right way to go. ES's head was OFF the charts, there is no way he would have fit through my hips.

As I sit here remembering the official day that I became a mother, I wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR ES!!!!

See his head was (is) so big we couldn't even keep the little hospital beanie on it! :-)

ES you are loved so much and we are so blessed that God gave us you! Happy Birthday to you!!

On another happy note, the same day God blessed us with ES he also blessed Blunoz' cousin (and our dear friends to boot) with E.

Happy Birthday E!!!

Blunoz tried to kill me...

Tonight was our usual Family Movie night but we opted for Diego's Taco Shop instead of our usual Boston's Pizza (and yes it tastes like good ol' Boston Pizza with a hint of NY pizza, YUMMY).

I love a good Carne Asada Burrito as long as it is done right. I was introduced to them in Monterey at Charro's (was that the name of the place we used to go to after diving). So they have always set the standard for me. One thing I cannot forget to mention is that I am a born and raised New Englander. Growing up Mexican to me was Chili's. I have since learned that Chili's is Tex Mex, NOT Mexican. Yea, whatever honey. :-)

Anyway, so Blunoz went off and brought home burritos for us and quesadillas for the boys. He was smart enough to also bring home some rolled tacos in case I did not like my burrito (do you see the foreshadowing here?).

So the burrito is actually pretty good, aside for a couple of tough pieces of meat. But then suddenly (about half way through) my mouth was on FIRE! FLAMING FIRE! I begged YB for some of his chocolate milk and he denied me! Oh man! I think Blunoz was trying to kill me... or was it a conspiracy with YB... Blunoz hit me with the fire and YB denied me the extinguisher...

On a side note, we watched the move R.V. with Robin Williams after the boys went to bed. I know it has horrible reviews but it was actually HILARIOUS. Go in with low expectations as I did, and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Reliving the Glory Days

Today, I got to pretend I was 13 again... okay maybe those weren't the glory days. But it sure gave me a giggle this morning.

And they have aged well, I think Jordan might be cuter than he was 20 years ago! ;-)

And here is their new one.

Are you all running scared now to know I was a NKOTB fan? I can't believe I got rid of those CDs...

American Idol

This is why David Cook needs to win American Idol.

A man who can do that to Lionel Richie deserves a big break in Hollywood!
